Harold E. Wolverton

Harold E. Wolverton, 87, of Columbus, died at 1:29 a.m. September 21, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Harold was born March 17, 1929, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Herman and Goldie (Pallum) Wolverton. He married Jacqueline J. Griffith April 21, 1957.  She preceded him in death April 21, 2005. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Arvin Industries after 35 years of service. Harold was a long time member of Bible Church of Columbus. He loved to climb fire towers, fish, travel, spend time outdoors and flint knapping, along with being a rock hound. Survivors include his son, Timothy "Tim" Wolverton of Columbus; and daughters, Jewell L. (Ralph) Johnson of Westport, and Miriam A. Wolverton of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jacqueline; son, Nathaniel J. Wolverton; brother, Donald Wolverton; and sister, Lillian Barker.
