Scott Harold Hill, 86, of Columbus, went to live with Jesus on September 12, 2016, from the Lutheran Home in Seymour, Indiana. Scott was born February 28, 1930, in Seymour, the son of Clyde and Irma Hibner Hill. He married Susie Carter September 29, 1950. Scott’s life was a life of love and devotion to his Lord, his family and his fellow man. He was a member of Community Church of Columbus and was an avid Bible student and teacher. Scott was proud to serve in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a teacher and administrator at Bartholomew County Schools for several years. Later, he worked in human resources for Dunlap Home Improvements in Columbus. He retired from Parker Hannifin Corp. in Tell City, Indiana. He loved God, his family, his church and his work. His other loves were reading, storytelling, fishing and helping others. Survivors include his wife, Susie; sons, Curtis Hill of Michigan, Bradley (Freda) Hill of Indianapolis and Brian Hill of Indianapolis; daughter, Karen (David) Blystone of Columbus; brothers, Robert (Janet) Hill of Columbus and Ralph Hill of Canton, Illinois; sisters, Constance (Jude) Richardson of Pennsylvania, and LuAnn (Gordon) Barker of Edinburgh; a sister-in-law, Jackie Hill of Seymour; seven adult grandchildren;  two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Douglas Hill; and a sister-in-law, Charity Hill.

I have found comfort in the promises found in the scriptures that someday soon we would see our loved ones again. John 11:25.
