William Bradtke

William Bradtke, 73, of Wallace Avenue, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at his home. William was born July 22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George and Jane Meredith Bradtke. He married Barbara Wolfe on April 1, 1973. William was previously employed at General Motors and retired as a Tooling Engineer from CCG, previously known as ArvinMeritor. When he was younger, William enjoyed bowling and playing softball. He was an avid golfer and was an assistant professional at Greenbelt Golf Course. William was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge #20 and was a Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox and University of Kentucky fan. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wolfe Bradtke of Columbus; daughters, Lisa (Randy Wells) Bradtke, Kathy Hannah and Brooke (Enrique Garcia Jr.) Alvarez all of Columbus; grandchildren, Shanna (John) Martin, Tyler (Alexa) Hannah, Courtney Turner, Macy Hannah, Gabriel Garcia, Nicolas Alvarez, Connor Hannah, Waylon Garcia and Khloe Garcia; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Arissa, Kylee, Mason, Gatlin, Cheylei and Paisley; and sister, Barbara (Bob) Dicken of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his father, George Bradtke; and his mother, Jane Meredith Morris; a step-son, Heath Lewis; a great-grandchild, Bennett Martin; his step-father, Francis Morris; and a brother, David Bradtke.
