Keith L Jewell

Keith L Jewell, lovingly called “Keikers”, 54, of Elizabethtown, died at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at his home. Keith was born October 11, 1961 in Columbus, the son of Vernon L. and Judy Ann Downey Jewell. He married Donna S. Mullikin October 20, 1990. Keith was a member of Flintwood Wesleyan Church and an employee of SABIC Innovative Plastics. He, along with his father and two brothers, own Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. He loved spending time with his family and absolutely adored his grandchildren, although all children were special in his eyes. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Flintwood Wesleyan Church with Pastor Wes Jones officiating. Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Flintwood Wesleyan Church through the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Donna; father, Vernon L. Jewell of Elizabethtown; mother, Judy Downey of Columbus; children, Gage L (Tiffany) Jewell of Columbus, Wesley Keith Jewell of Elizabethtown, Cortney Marie (Joey) Caplinger of Columbus, Tyffani Dawn Jewell of Elizabethtown and his four-legged child Tipper; grandchildren, Calvin Keith Clark, Naomi Ruth Clark, Kennedy Noel Ford, Tanner Jack Jewell and Addison Rose Jewell; siblings, Diane Gail (Milo) Smith, Heeth (Nikki) Jewell, Nick (Jodi) Rittman and Todd Rittman, all of Columbus and Vicki (Rob) Henkle of Indianapolis; nieces, Lauren Brooke Smith and Abby Diane Smith; and several in-laws in Ripley County. He was preceded in death by his sister Mindie Jewell. Keith was once asked why he worked so hard, his response, "A man measures his self-worth by how he supports his family."
