Ricky was born June 14, 1949, in Bartholomew County, the son of Grover J. and Jane Ann Rouse Cooper. Ricky retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2004 after 36 years of service. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Ricky also loved his family, especially his chihuahua, Lexi, and was very proud of his brother, David. Survivors include his wife, Kimber Lee Cooper of Columbus; children, Jennifer Elaine (Mark) Rose and Chad William Cooper both of Columbus; grandchildren, Elaine Cooper, Lindsey Rose and Haley Rose; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Corbyn Rhoades; and brother, David L. (Rebecca) Cooper of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his a son, Ricky Joe Cooper Jr.; and his parents, Grover J. and Jane Rouse Cooper.
