Donald Ray Ferguson

Donald Ray Ferguson, 71, of Columbus, went to his Heavenly home at 11:30 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Don was born October 8, 1944 in Columbus, the son of John and Martha Kuhlman Ferguson. He married Grace Garza October 8, 1988. Don retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1999 after 31 years of service. After retirement, Don worked at Diamet and Screentech. He was a hard working man, always giving a helping hand. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Grace; sons, Donald (Kellie) Ferguson of Columbus, and Chris (Penny) Ferguson and Gary (Tina) Ferguson, all of North Vernon; daughter, Shannon (Christian) Anderson of North Vernon; five brothers, six sisters; 20 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
