He had lived in Indianapolis for 19 years and had occasionally attended Columbus Baptist Church. Mr. Collins graduated from Columbus East High School in 1975.Mr. Collins loved his English Bulldogs, his nieces and nephews and enjoyed all sports, music of all kinds, especially classic rock and roll.Mr. Collins was born in Columbus, Indiana on June 14, 1957. He was the son of Richard and Pansy (Hubbard) Collins, who preceded him in death. He married Ruby L. Hunter in September of 2005. She survives. Also surviving is his son, Shawn (Chrystal) Collins of Columbus; sisters, Margaret “Maggy” Collins Taylor and Hattie Collins McKay, both of Indianapolis; and Inez Collins Traylor of Columbus. Mr. Collins was also survived by nephews, Jason, Matt and Ric McKay; Shane and Rocky Taylor; Chris and Dylan Traylor; and a niece, Lena Traylor Vaughn; step-children, Tammy Hutchinson and Keith Hunter of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Bryan Toana, Corey Elliott, Bob Hutchinson, Tyler Hunter and many great nieces and great nephews and numerous cousins.He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Dickie” Collins and a nephew Aaron Collins.
