Norvel Ed Jones, 56, of State Road 46 East, died at 10:44 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Norvel was born October 4, 1959, in Decatur County, the son of Ralph and Linda White Jones. He married Kathy McAnelly December 23, 1996. Norvel served as a sergeant in the United States Army and was currently employed at Quality Machine & Tool. He was an avid fisherman, deer hunter and NASCAR fan. Survivors include his wife, Kathy; sons, William Jones and Jacob Jones, both of Jackson County, and Casey (Jessica) Jones of Franklin; daughters, Nicole Jones of Greensburg, Tanisha (Joe) Chaney and Shaylah Jones, both of Indianapolis; a sister, Sara Nash of Greensburg; his uncle, Ronald Washburn of Greensburg; and eight grandchildren.
