Luurtsema, 65, of Hartsville, died at 9:34 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at St. Vincent Seton Hospital in Indianapolis. Shari was born May 4, 1950 in Jackson, Ohio, the daughter of Robert L. and Virginia B. Bullington Broyles. She married Charlie S. "Chuck" Luurtsema July 25, 1985. Shari retired as lead customer service representative at the Edinburgh Premium Outlet Mall. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority and Tarum Court 14 LOSNA where she was also a member of the Drum Corps. Survivors include her daughter, Tiffanie J. (Keith) Ellis of Greenwood; sister, Linda (Rick) Wood of Brownsburg; grandchildren, Connor and Logan Ellis of Greenwood; a niece, Jennifer Riddle of Russellville, Indiana; and a nephew, John Wood of Brownsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Chuck Luurtsema

Sheri was such a warm and happy person. I thought about her often. I loved visiting with her whenever I shopped Locketts years ago. I wish her peace.
When we were kids if anyone asked us who our mom was, we would reply “Mom” and “Shari”. I will never forget your booming voice, laugh and big hugs. As the director of the daycare I attended, she probably let me get away with more than I should have. Thanks for being the awesome best friend to my mom. Love you always, Ann
We will miss you and you were my favorite sister in law . I always loved coming over to her house when i was in my teenage years. She would do anything for you and she was always there if you needed her.i will miss you very much. Love becky
