Rodman, 86, of Doup Drive, died at 8:56 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Silver Oak Health Campus. Max was born November 14, 1928 in Shelbyville, the son of Dale and Mildred Rutherford Rodman Sr. He married Nancy Elliott November 19, 1949. Max was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean War. He retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1983 and was a 50 year member of Norristown Masonic Lodge #147 F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; son, John Rodman of Washington, D.C.; daughters, Nanette (James) Compton of Columbus and Suzanne (Rick) Sexton of Bloomington; grandchildren, Sara Maddox, Nathan Scalf, Emily Hodge, John W. Sexton and Michael Compton; and great grandchildren, Tripp Maddox and Hunter Beesley. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Wayne Rodman and brothers, Dale Rodman Jr. and Richard Rodman.
