SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. VISITATION: 1:00 TO 5:00 P.M. Sunday, July 5, 2015 with one hour prior to service time on Monday. OFFICIATING: Rev. Marvin Brown MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery Johnnie Marion Bryant, 77, of Columbus, died at 3:45 p.m., July 2, 2015, at Kindred Healthcare Facility. Johnnie was born March 6, 1938, in Bartholomew County, the son of Charlie and Sister Burton Bryant. He married Marjorie Noel on March 9, 1956. Johnnie was a licensed electrician and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a fan of Nascar racing and in his spare time he enjoyed being with his brothers. Johnnie's greatest love in life was his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Kevin Brown and Marvin Brown officiating. Calling will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Survivors include sons, Johnnie Bryant and Scottie Bryant both of Columbus; daughter, Teresa Baker of Columbus; brothers, Tom "TO" (Shirley) Bryant, Charlie "Bub" (Vanessa) Bryant, both of Columbus; sisters, Louise Baldwin, Helen Zebell, both of Columbus and Shirley K. Galligher of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren, Angel (Bruce) Phillips, Shane (Jennifer) Bryant, Tara (Brian) Riley, Nicole Baker, Coty Bryant, Amanda Bryant; great-grandchildren, Bryant Kerns, Noah Morgan, Erricka and Mason Riley, Nicoles and Coledenn Berger, Lium and Alaysia Bryant. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie on February 15, 2013; his parents; brothers, Willie and Ralph Bryant; sisters, Mabel Foist, Mary Green, Pearl Sutton and Phyllis Anderson, and a grandchild, Charlie Bryant III.
