Orville Turner FINAL RESTING PLACE: Cave Spring Cemetery VISTATION: 4:00 until 8:00 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: To the Helen Watkins Memorial fund through the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home Helen Watkins, 81, of Dawson Street, died at 9:46 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Helen was born September 18, 1933 in Pineville, Kentucky, the daughter of Floyd and Cora Hubbard Godsey. She married James Watkins on November 15, 1951. Helen loved spending time with her grand kids, watching her chickens and ducks, and enjoyed watching people. She was dearly loved, and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her sons Bobby Joe Watkins of Columbus, Billy Ray Watkins of Nashville, Indiana, Floyd Lee Watkins of Columbus, Michael Lynn (Carolyn) Watkins of Westport, Jerry Wayne (Wendy) Watkins of Columbus; daughters Norma Jean Watkins of Seymour, Glora Jean Stephens of Pensecola, Florida; 78 grandchildren; 124 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Watkins; sons Larry, Allen, and Franklin Watkins; 1 grandson Nathan Lucas; 7 brothers; and 2 sisters.
