SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 23, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints OFFICIATING: Bishop Jessie Shoaf FINAL RESTING PLACE: Harmony Cemetery VISITATION: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: To the Kevin Parsons Memorial Fund through the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home Kevin was born March 16, 1986 in Seymour, the son of Kenneth S. and Spring R. Lykins Parsons. Kevin was a graduate of Columbus East High School and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Columbus, 4th Ward. Kevin had participated in Special Olympics and enjoyed bowling, pottery, painting and making things with beads. Kevin really enjoyed going out to eat and especially loved eating lava cakes. He also enjoyed watching videos, especially musicals and loved listening to music, which he really loved when his mother played the piano. Kevin also loved to travel and swim with his family. He loved meeting, and had a special connection to, other handicapped individuals. Kevin was very loving and kind, giving people hugs and blowing them kisses. Survivors include his parents; brothers, K. Bryce Parsons, Jared S. Parsons and Ryan S. Parsons all of Azalia; sisters, Laura A. Keith of Seymour and Katelyn M. (Kris) DeBrine of Spanish Fork, Utah; grandmother, Amy Jean Lykins of Spanish Fork, Utah; and nieces and nephews, Alexis, Matthew, Braden and Emily Keith and Claire and Cosette DeBrine. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth G. and Afton Parsons and Chester G. Lykins. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of Columbus Regional Hospital, ER, CCU, 3rd and 6th floors and his personal physicians for all of their support and care they provided throughout the years.

My heart breaks for your loss. Prayers and hugs. I can see him walking with Heavenly Father and talking about all the things he did here to help all of us.

I had the pleasure to work with Kevin at Columbus East High School. He was always cheerful and ready with the hugs. He will be missed.
We are so sorry for your loss. We always enjoyed watching Kevin when he was hanging out in the Azalia Park.

I enjoyed having Kevin in my class at Parkside Elementary School. Kelvin always brought a smile and genuine happiness to our class! Prayers for all of the family.
