Janes, 61, of Union St., died at 06:05 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Gary was born June 18, 1953 in Edmunton, Kentucky the son of Curtis M. and Marie Rowe Janes. Gary was a Chicago Bears fan, and loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his mother Marie Rowe Janes of Columbus; a son Gary L. Janes of Columbus; a daughter Brandy M. (Tim Plunkett) Buckley of Unionville, Indiana; grandchildren Tyler, Hilary, Eric, and Donavan; great-grandchildren Joseph and Morgan; a brother Larry O. Janes of North Vernon; and a sister Katina M. (John) Sadtler of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his his father Curtis M. Janes.

  2. larry,and the family of gary,so sorry to hear bout gary,hadnt saw him for years,but we did talk on facebook,and thru email,gary ask me to send him some pictures of larry and rick duckworth band that I had gotten from ricks wife,so I sent them to him,as well as I had known gary and marica back in the 70;s,really liked gary and marica,they were always good people,and fun to be around,so sorry to hear bout the passing of gary,i sure will continue to pray for yall as well,i know jesus will bring you thru this and strengthen you,MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND BRING YOU THRU THIS SAD TIME,JUANITA DAVIS

  4. I will miss Gary very much, he was a very good friend. He loved his mama so much, he told me that he did not know how he could handle it if he ever lost his mama. Gary was a kind and considerate friend, he will be missed by his family and friends.

  5. First let me say I am so very sorry for your loss of a very sweet man. I first met Gary when he came into the Moose Lodge with Patty. He won my heart that first night with his joking around and sweet personality. And he was the same each and every time he came in. I will certainly miss our interaction. So Sad. R.I.P. Dear Gary.
