Harber, 82, of East Base Road, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015, at his home. Norman was born July 18, 1932 in Kalon, Panama Canal, the son of William Albert and Katalina Astina-Harber. He married Carol Allen Sorrels April 14, 1984. Norman was a veteran of the Navy and served in the Korean war. He retired from Cummins Engine Company after 30 years or service. Norman was a member of both the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed bowling in leagues for many years, singing karaoke, listening to records and loved dancing. Survivors include his wife; son, Neil (Nancy) Harber of Houston, TX; daughters, Kim Lohrke of Montana, Sherry (Jeff) Lewis of Columbus and Susan England of Southport; step-sons, James Sorrels of Columbus and David (Trish) Sorrels of Wyoming; step-daughter, Teresa Knops of Columbus; brothers, Paul (Janet) Harber of Georgia, Frank Harber and Albert Harber, both of Florida; sisters, Gladys Ferrante and April Cadorette, both of Florida; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Eddie Harber.
