SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Jon Bailey. FINAL RFESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Bartholomew County Honor Guard. VISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Special Olympics; Bartholomew County Honor Guard or American Heart Association. Ralph A. "Butch" Fink, Jr., 65, of Collier Street, died at 4:31 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room. Ralph was born August 9, 1949, in Indianapolis, the son of the Rev. Ralph A. and Donna B. Engle Fink. He married Debbie D. Lucas April 20, 1973. Butch grew up in Florida, the son of a Nazarene minister, and and later moved to Kentucky where he graduated from Benton High School in Benton, Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wahoo submarine in Vietnam. Butch was a member of the United States Submarine Veterans, also known as the Silent Service. Butch was employed by Mac Tac. He was a member of the American Legion Post #777 in Franklin and the First Church of the Nazarene. Butch was an awesome cook and baker, loved NASCAR and playing cards. He was a sports fanatic who enjoyed playing baseball and softball and watching football. Most of all, he loved his family and grandgirls. Survivors include his wife, Debbie; a son, Eric J. (Shea) Fink of Fairland, Indiana; a daughter, Azure D. (Brian) Nicholas of Columbus; sisters, Charlene Roberson of Pearl, Mississippi and Becky (Terry) Merriman of Port Charlotte, Florida; and grandchildren, Hanna Alynn Fink, Lilli Rose Fink, Courtney Paige Nicholas and Presley Rae Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Timothy W. Fink.
