Dorothy was born July 11, 1928, in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of Marshall "Doc" and Margaret Tharpe Sprague. She married Fred Rotert on October 20, 1946. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Borchers. She loved to quilt and read. Survivors include her husband, Fred Rotert; children, Prima Heideman of Seymour, Ernie (Francine) Rotert of Seymour, Judy (Jerry) Senn of Brownstown, Kenneth (Nancy) Rotert of Columbus, Wanda (Harold) Engelau of Seymour, Lesa (Matt) Reynolds of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Peggy (Troy Stockelman) Engelking of Freetown; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Dale (Ruby) Sprague of Tennessee, and Everett Sprague of Kurtz, Indiana; and a sister, Fern Hendershot of Nashville, Indiana. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall "Doc" and Margaret Tharpe Sprague; grandson, Cory Heideman; son-in-law, Fred Heideman; brothers, William and Lawrence Sprague; and a sister, Mildred Deitt.
