SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 27, 2104 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery. VISITATION: 2-6 Sunday, October 26, 2014 and one hour prior to service time Monday. Jacob F. Wesley, 88, of Della Road, died at 7:34 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Jacob was born June 2, 1926, in Casey County, Kentucky, the son of James David and Liza Frances Godby Wesley. He married Bessie Juanita (Wesley) Wesley December 10, 1946. Jacob was a World War II Army veteran and a farmer. He retired from Cummins Engine Company. He attended Jewell Village Separate Baptist Church. Jacob enjoyed music, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family. Military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Survivors include his wife; son, E. Harrell (Connie S.) Wesley of Brown County, IN; daughters, G. Carolyn (Dan) Hagemier of Edinburgh, Regina K. (Henry) Phelps of Columbus, Donita J. (Mark) Clemmons of Hope and Cleta M. (Clint) Maggard of Springville, IN; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, M. Ferrell Wesley; daughter-in-law, Becky Wesley; brothers, the Rev. Lawrence Wesley, Elvin Wesley and Cevester Wesley; sisters, Nellie Wilder, Maggie Godby, Hallie Emerson, Mary Liza Ervin and Linda Dunford; and grandchildren, Michael Wesley, Cynthia Wesley, Michael Dean Brown and Michael Scott Phelps.
