SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with military honors provided by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. VISITATION: 1:00 P.M. till service time Saturday at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Memorial contributions may be made to the Gregory Nentrup Memorial Fund through the funeral home. Gregory Nentrup, 65, of Fox Trail Lane, died at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at his home. Gregory was born May 21, 1949, in Columbus, the son of George and June Beatty Nentrup. He married Lucinda Lott April 4, 2005. Gregory was a graduate of Columbus High School and Ivy Tech and was a disabled Navy veteran. He was part owner of Columbus Bar and was a CAD designer and an avid sports fan. Survivors include his wife; son, Nathaniel Nentrup of Columbus; daughters, Michelle (Thomas) Sallee of Columbus, Kristen (Josh) Quinn of Letts, and Katherine (James) Douglas of Columbus; stepsons, Richard Higginbotham and Jon Higginbotham; a sister, Sandra Monical of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Amy Jo Schaefer, Jamie Barrett and Richard Monical. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Britt McGinnis.

So very sorry to hear of Greg’s passing. He was a great guy and I spent many , many hours talking sports with him at the Columbus Bar, and am grateful I knew him. Prayers to all his family and friends. He will be missed.
