Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church MEMORIAL CONTIRBUTIONS: Bartholomew County 4-H Council or St. Peter's Lutheran School Mary Jane was born July 24, 1922 in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Homer K. and Gertrude M. Tellman Arnholt. She married C. Evans Hoeltke October 15, 1944. Mary Jane had been a former employee of St. Peter's Lutheran School cafeteria. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she was active in the Couples Club and Sewing Circle. She was also a member of the Decatur County Couples Club and the Homecraft Home Ec Club. Mary Jane was a 4-H leader for over 40 years and former leader of the Farm Bureau Pet and Hobby, as well as a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She had several other hobbies including gardening, sewing and woodworking. She walso enjoyed watching her grandchildren at sporting events. The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Malinsky officiating. Calling will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Monday, at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County 4-H Council or St. Peter's Lutheran School through the funeral home. Survivors include her sons, Larry (Mary Jane) Hoeltke and Dennis (Janice) Hoeltke all of Columbus; daughter, Beverly (James) Pence of Hope; brother, Kenneth (Berneice) Arnholt of Columbus; sister, Emily (Ray) Shireman of Hartsville; grandchildren, Angela (Damon) Clark, Jeff (Kim) Hoeltke, Elizabeth (Nathan) Burbrink, April Hoeltke, Chad Hoeltke, Ryan (Season Ballard) Hoeltke, Jeremy Hoeltke, Melissa (Andy) Dempsey, Amy (Kyle) Shipp, Jason Pence, Kevan Pence; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
