VISITATION: 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Dorothy Ingellis, 81, of Chestnut Street, died at 4:56 a.m. Monday, September 15, at Morgantown Health Care Inn. Dorothy was born June 26, 1933 in Angola, the daughter of George and Margaret Rose Deming. She married John J. Ingellis June 13, 1953. Dorothy graduated from Angola High School. After graduation she became secretary in the Dean's Office of Tri-State College. At the age of nineteen, she met John, the love of her life. Dorothy loved antiques, quilting, sewing and garage sales along with Heath Bars and Good and Plenty. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Victor Ingellis of Carmel; daughters, Denise (Danny) Goodin, Peggy Ingellis, Mary Ingellis, Lisa (Larry Hilkene) Ingellis, all of Columbus; a brother, Patrick Deming; sisters, Jane (Steve) Mason and Janet (Joseph) Al Janabi; and grandchildren, Joel Shrader, Matthew Shrader, Ava Hearn, and Addie Hearn. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, George and Margaret Deming; a brother, Michael Deming; and a sister, Alyse Freeman.

Mary, Denise, Peggy, Victor and Lisa…I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was very kind to me and I always enjoyed her humor and company. All prayers to you and yours.
Lisa and Larry, We are so sorry for your lost. I’m sure Dorothy is in a happier place now.
Peggy and family, I am not sure there are words to share that bring relief from the life changing event of losing our parents. But I have learned that they never truly leave our lives. They fill our thoughts and emotions … our hearts and souls every day. The eternal gift of being a child’s parent — they are there beside and within us forever. God bless your Mother and know you are in my heart and prayers.
Will always have fond memories of our parents together, partying and laughing and having a good time. She was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
