Sunday at the funeral home Helen E. Freimund, 90, of Mill Run, died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center. Helen was born June 25, 1924, in Unionville, Michigan, the daughter of Herman and Caroline Suthkeay Willy. While living in Michigan, she helped build a senior apartment complex and started an adult family care program. She was labeled one of the 10 Most Admired Women in Wisconsin. Helen moved to Columbus in 1996. She was a member of the Racing Action Council from 1983 to 1996. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Denver (Keysha) Hodnett of Columbus, Phyllis Aleco, Ruth (Steve) Newland, Tom Hodnett, Russell (Diane) Hodnett, Kenny (Sue) Hodnett, David (Dorice) Hodnett, and Don (Jakayla) Hodnett; a brother, Carl Willy of Michigan; and a brother-in-law, Denver Hodnett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Caroline Suthkeay Willy; a brother, August Willy; and sisters, Minnie Johnson, Margaret England, and Bertha Hodnett.
