Larry Fields FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery VISITATION: 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from Noon until the service Monday at the church MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Clarence Earl "Gomer" Biles, 74, of Flintwood Dr., died at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Clarence was born May 25, 1940 in Clay County, Tennessee, the son of Clarance F. and Pearl Eckle Biles. He married Bonnell Smith July 6, 1963. Clarence was employed by Reliance Electric, now known as Rockwell Automation, for 37 years. Clarence was a member of East Columbus Separate Baptist church. He was a devoted christian who worked hard for the church as a song leader and playing the guitar. He loved bluegrass and gospel music. Clarence sang in various groups including Potter's Clay and Persimmon Ridge. He was an avid musician, especially talented playing the guitar. He enjoyed fishing with his grandson, was a devoted family man and loved life itself. Survivors include his daughter, Brenda L. Moore of Perrysburg, OH; brother, Wendell Biles of North Vernon; sisters, Betty (Billy) Spivey of Lafayette, TN, Gayle (Joe) Reeves of Carthage, TN and Joan (Russell) Cherry of Mufreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Ryan (Mindy) Pool and Joshua Moore; great-grandchildren, Matthew Pool, Hailey Pool and Joshua Garza; and several nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnell on May 28, 2012; brother, Kenneth Biles; and sister, Helen Eckert.
