Waltz, 92, of Columbus, died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Jean was born March 4, 1922 to Ray and Anna C. Chandler Weekly. She married Forrest W. Waltz on April 5, 1946. Jean was previously employed in civil service at Camp Atterbury where she did payroll. She was a pianist and organist for many years at Bethel Wesleyan Church and was most recently attended Gnaw Bone Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Pam (Marvin) Artist of Columbus and Debbie (David) Brown of Columbus; grandchildren, Michelle (Tom) Thomson of Carmel, and Keith Rogers of Terre Haute; and great-grandchildren, Braden Thomson and Drew Thomson. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forrest Waltz on April 4, 2005; and a grandson, Chris Rogers.
