Brown, 87, formerly of 16th Street, died at 2:00 a.m. May 5, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. Bonnie was born March 7, 1927, in Johnson County, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Gladys Allender Bay. She married Virgil "Gene" Brown June 26, 1945. Bonnie attended Helmsburg and Morgantown schools. During World War II she worked at Reliance Shirt Factory and later at the Bob-o-Link Restaurant. A member of Columbus First Church of the Nazarene, she enjoyed spending time with family, watching Cincinnati Reds baseball. She loved cooking, baking and crochet. She was legendary for her chicken and noodles and custard pies. Survivors include her children, Sherrie (John) McDonald and Doug (Cathy) Brown; grandchildren, Daryl (Rhonda) Eickbush, Debbie Eickbush, Ross (Jeanna) Eickbush, Heather McDonald, Tony McDonald, Regiana (George) Sistevaris, Jessica (Tommy) Loboda, and Pollianna Brown; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bettie Dynes. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; a daughter, Bonnie "Peachie" Brown Gaither; a sister, Gladys Earline VanArsdall; and brothers, Floyd Bay and Johnny Bay.
