Katherine A. "Kate" Clevenger, 85, of Taylorsville, died at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. Kate had worked for Vernco and the Corning Revere Factory Store. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard, visits from her great-grandchildren and riding her bicycle. Born in Shelby County June 17, 1928, Kate was the daughter of Donald Facemire and Pauline Vest Facemire. She married Henry F. Clevenger July 12, 1973. He preceded her in death June 23, 1994. Survivors include a son, Douglas (Kim) Fowler, Taylorsville, IN; a brother, Norman (Bernice) Facemire, Amity, IN; a sister, Jessie Miller, Shelbyville, IN; grandchildren, Nikki (Heeth) Jewell, Kelli-Brook (Warren) Totten, Cory Fowler, and Elizabeth (Jason) Winters; and great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Grant, Colin and Eoin Totten, and Mason Winters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Janet Schmanski.
