Marvin Brown VISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association Joey Lee Buchanan, 72, of Washington Street, died at 3:42 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Joey retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1996 after 31 years of service. He was a member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church and Moose Lodge No. 398. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and enjoyed NASCAR, especially Tony Stewart. Born in Crab Orchard, Ky., Feb. 21, 1941, Joey was the son of Joseph Anthony Buchanan and Gertrude Greer Buchanan. He married Teresa J. Magner June 17, 1983. Survivors include his wife; sons, Mark A. Buchanan and Troy L. (Kim) Buchanan, both of Columbus; a stepson, Shane (Stephanie) Boswell, Butlerville, IN; a stepdaughter, Missy (Toby) Taylor, Butlerville, IN; a sister, Betty Ross, Salem, IN; and grandchildren, Josh A. Buchanan and Ian M. Buchanan, both of Edinburgh, Alex Taylor and Zach Taylor, both of Butlerville, Tyler Boswell and Dylan Boswell, both of Butlerville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Buchanan.
