Anna "Charlene" Sipes, 80, of Columbus, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center. She is survived by sons, Steve Sipes of Columbus, Danny (Joyce) Sipes of Columbus, Mark (Debbie) Sipes of Scipio, Jon Sipes of North Carolina, and Casper (Chris) Sipes of Tennessee; a daughter, Nancy (Ken Hall) Baker of New York; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rhoda Jordan of Hope, and Melva (Tom) Cameron of Taylorsville. Mrs. Sipes was retired from National Linen, then employed at Kindred Transitional Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Leon Sipes. SERVICE: Thursday, January 23, 10:30 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. OFFICIANT: Rev. Gerald Hancock. VISITATION: Wednesday, January 22, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home with one hour prior to service time Thursday. FINAL RESTING PLACE: Hawcreek Cemetery.
