FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 21 at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel, located at 3330 30th St., Columbus. VISITATION: Family and friends may attend a viewing from noon until 1:30 p.m. that day at the same location. BURIAL: Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Jewell-Rittman Funeral Home. Our amazing husband, father and grandpa, Douglas Teeples, died at his home with his loving wife and daughters by his side, on November 16, 2013, after fighting Multiple Systems Atrophy for over three years. Doug was born in Salmon, Idaho on March 10, 1934, to Harold Henry and Leah Benetta Norton Teeples. He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean Goodwine Bristol Teeples; his two daughters, Carla Jean Martell (Lance), and Audrey Kay Scott (Dean); eight grandchildren, Chari (Trevor) Buckley, Krystal (Bryce) White, Brooke (Shawn) Carter, Sean Nelson, Carissa Scott, Brennan Scott, David Nelson, and Trevor Scott; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leah and Harold Teeples; his sister, Lou Ann Horn; and his brothers, Monte Harold Teeples and Lynn Norton Teeples. Doug received his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah and his Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Michigan. He practiced general dentistry and orthodontics for a total of 29 years in Utah and California. After he retired from his career he pursued his passions in portrait oil painting, computer graphic design and playing his clarinet in the Brown County Community Band. Doug has served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints his entire life.

Donna, I just happened upon this on an Internet search. I sad I was to hear of Dougs passing. You and Doug were always special people to me. Living in Fountsin Valley together all those many years ago. Take care and God bless you. I am remarried and on a mission in the Philippines right now. Can you believe that!
