Wes Jones FINAL RESTING PLACE: Bethel Baptist Cemetery VISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home Lula B. Stater, 93, of Columbus, died at noon Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. She was an active member of Ohio Street Wesleyan Church where she sang and played the piano. She and her husband Orville were farmers in the Bartholomew County Area. Born in Bartholomew Sept. 16, 1920, Lula was the daughter of John Jones and Lillie Shatto Jones. She married Orville Stater who preceded her in death in 2005. Survivors include sons, John Burton of Columbus, IN, and Jimmy Stater of Marshall, MO; grandchildren, - Victor Burton, Bettina Blankman and Tracie Lea Hinds; great-grandchildren, Justin Smith, Aaron Burton, Jessica Hinds, Bradley Hinds, and Kennedy Blankman; and a great-great-granddaughter, Piper Faye Hinds. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Judy Mae Burton; brothers, Theodore Jones and Daniel Jones; and a sister, Ellen Jones.
