"Pete" retired from Reeves Pulley after years of service. He enjoyed camping, vacationing in Florida and spending time with his family. Born in Columbus May 13, 1926, Pete was the son of George O. Lucas and Bessie Kent Lucas. He married A. Arlene Kindle July 31, 2004. She survives. Also surviving are sons, Larry W. (Belinda) Lucas of North Vernon, IN, and Donald I. (Ruth) Lucas of Columbus, IN; daughters, Brenda Mace of Scipio, IN, Sue (Jesse) Gentry of Columbus, Diane (Joseph) East of Columbus, Linda (Robert) Jessie of Columbus, and Sharon (Roger) Graham of Elizabethtown; a granddaughter Pete and his wife raised, Shana Wells; stepchildren, Star (Lee) Johnsen of Florida, Robert (Terry) White of Columbus, Joe White of Freetown and Randy (Karen) White of Edinburgh;a sister, Irene Baker of Florida; 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Maude F. Bradley Lucas, in 1993; a daughter, Barbara Richards; a stepdaughter-in-law, Becky White; brothers, James, Waltza, Ralph, Clarence, Woodrow, Earl, Merrill, Derrill and Joseph; sisters, Mabel, Jane, Amy, Mary, Helen, Mary Alice, and Ershel; a granddaughter, Ilene Thompson; a grandson, Jeff Richards; a great-grandson, Mack Thompson III; and great-great-grandchildren, Addison Whitlock and Branson Daniels.
