David Armstrong FINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook Cemetery VISITATION: 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Lelon Mouser, 84, of Vinewood Drive, died at 10:15 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Lelon served in the Air Force during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of East Columbus Christian Church, was active at Mill Race Center and with Golden K Kiwanis, and was a volunteer with Our Hospice of South Central Indiana for 11 years. In the 1940s, he was active in the Columbus Little Theater Group. Lelon's life was his family. He was always willing to give, never asking for anything in return. Born in Columbus Sept. 22, 1928, Lelon was the son of Henry Lelon Mouser and Neva Mae Routier Mouser. He married Phyllis Jean Crippen on Dec. 6, 1953. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Roger L. (Rebecca) Mouser, Columbus, IN; daughters, Sally Jo (Kerry) Thompson of San Diego, CA, Jill Elaine (Kenneth) Seale of Indianapolis, IN, and Kelli Jean (Gary) Simon of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren, Sarah Ross, Amy Duncan, Ryan Seale, Travis Mouser, Aaron Seale, Brian Thompson, Cory Duncan, Emily Blackie, Alison Kuhn and Halie Mouser; great-grandchildren, Molly Roberts, Ryleigh Ross, Joey Ross, Lucy Ross, Nora Duncan, Brielle Mouser and Lincoln Mouser; and sisters, Jane Karr, Indianapolis, IN, and Carolyn Roe, Columbus, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob, Dwain and Max Mouser; and sisters, Joyce Ann Plant, Christine Mouser, Kay Stevens and Judy Smith.

We are neighbors of Mr. Mouser. So sorry for your loss. We didn’t know him but knew he was a good man ~ we watched him follow, in his truck, what we imagined was his granddaughter, while she rode her bike on the sidewalk. We smiled when we saw him do that…it was a sign of love. Sorry. L&J Chalfant
