  1. My thoughts are with each of you in the passing of your sweet and special Sara. There are times in my life when I have met someone and know that I was truly blessed and Sara was one of those people and blessings for me. I first met Sara and your family when I visited with her at home before she become a part of the Springhurst Campus. I still remember what a joyful and bright spirit she brought with her there! She and I shared many memories of her time spent in Columbus and I never tired of hearing her wonderful stories, memories, and thoughts. Although I hadn’t talked with her for years she had that personality and spunk that you remembered, and as I think of her now I still remember that forever smile, and can hear that wonderful little laugh. My husband Greg, and I recently moved from Columbus to Houston, TX or I would be there to see each of you, to share a hug, and to hear more Sara stories but please know you are in my heart and prayers. Blessings to each of you, Debbie Brown

  2. I smile as I ponder all the memories. What a blessing to have shred family moments with her. Xoxo. Love and hugs to all

  3. I smile as I ponder all the memories. What a blessing to have shared family moments with her. Xoxo. Love and hugs to all

  4. Cousin Sara was always a warm heart to laugh and share stories with. She was like a grandmother who was always interested in what was going on in my life and full of hugs. She will be greatly missed at our family gatherings.

  5. My therapy dog, Reggie, and I visited Sara many times at Springhurst. Tiny Sara loved my 126-pound dog. Sitting in her chair, she would throw her arms around him and bury her face in his fur. She laughed at his antics and scolded him when he grabbed on of her stuffed-animals. She never failed to brighten our day. She was a joy!

  6. My deepest Condolences. I met Sara in 2004. She was my neighbor at Colonial Manor. Sara was a very lovely lady and very friendly and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Sorry for your loss.

  7. Sarah was very special to me. I did her hair every week, and knew so much about her life. She was a wonderful friend, confident and so full of knowledge. I’ m sorry I couldn’t say goodbye in person. I ‘ m sure she looked beautiful at peace.

  8. Sara, or Sally, was an integral part of my family’s life for many years. Sara and her husband Ray McQueen were close friends of my parents, and my sister, Maris, and I grew up with Sally as one of those adults we looked-up to and trusted. When our parents died Sally was particularly helpful to Maris. Years later I discovered that Sally had been a roommate with my mother-in-law, Dorothy Theobald. Sara was a wonderful woman and I am sorry that I could not be at her services.

  9. Please note that her last husband’s name was Edwin C. Picker not Edward C. Picker as posted. I know as he was my father.
