SERVICE: Saturday, February 9th at 1:00 p.m.at the funeral home. OFFICIANT: Rev. Glenn Poynter. VISITATION: Friday, February 8th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home with one hour prior to service. MEMORIALS: Sandra Fields memorial fund through Jewell-Rittman Funeral Home. Sandra Fields, 61, of Cross Plains, died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Sandra graduated from Hauser High School in 1970 and was a member of Lowell General Baptist Church. She was a nature lover and enjoyed crocheting baby blankets. Born in Hazard, Ky., Feb. 5, 1952, Sandra was the daughter of Arlie Hounshell and Ila Adams Hounshell. She is survived by her mother, of Columbus; a daughter, Carla (Jared) Boyken of Cross Plains; a brother, Tom Hounshell of Columbus; and grandchildren, Ethan Jimenez, Sophia Jimenez, Emily Combs, Logan Preston and Isaac Combs. She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Matthew Combs; and brothers, Ronnie and Jack Hounshell. Dear Carla, I’m so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. You and your family will be in my prayers. My mom longed to see your mom again and I’m sure there is rejoicing in Heaven today, though our hearts are heavy here.
I am very sad to hear of the passing of your mom Carla… I know how empty you feel and how your heart hurts. Praying for comfort for you and the family as you embark on this long hard journey.
