Eckelman, 89, of Chapa Drive, died at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Hulda was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church White Creek where she was highly active in the Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed knitting and cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born in Bartholomew County Oct. 9, 1923, Mrs. Eckelman was the daughter of Otto Enzinger and Matilda Bode Enzinger. She married Norval F. Eckelman April 27, 1947. He preceded her in death June 4, 2005. Survivors include sons, Doyce L. (Becky) Eckelman, Randy J. (Darleen) Eckelman and Duane (Becky) Eckelman, all of Columbus, Indiana; a daughter, Rhonda Dunn of Columbus, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lester Enzinger of Columbus, Indiana. Hulda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Deryl Eckelman; a son-in-law, Keith Dunn; a brother, Milton Enzinger; and a sister, Opal Hoffmeier.
