FINAL RESTING PLACE: Resthaven Cemetery Edinburgh, IN Waneeta M. Shaw, 82, of Central Avenue, died at 2 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center. Waneeta was formerly employed at Arvin Industries and DSI but she retired as a self-employed hairdresser. She loved fishing and camping. Born in Illinois Jan. 4, 1930, Mrs. Shaw was the daughter of Emmett and Alice M. Dowling Sterling. She married Linzie Shaw June 15, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Shaw is survived by a daughter, Karen (Gary) Frazer, Columbus, IN; a brother, Charles (Carolyn) Sterling, Seymour, IN; sisters, Patty (Dick) Elmore, Caroline (Eddie) Carr and Brenda (Marty) Findley, all of Seymour, IN; grandchildren, Dawn (Daniel) Halfacre, Michelle (John) Ashby, Melissa (Randy) Wallace, Heather (Kyle) Fillenworth and Jeremy Shaw; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Littrell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son; Steven D. Shaw; a brother, Leroy Sterling; and a sister, Velma Clark.

Wanetta was a wonderful lady and will be sadly missed. I have very fond memories of going snow sledding in the winter at her and Linzie’s home. -Kenya
The best Mamaw you could ever ask for. Took care of me when I was little, made me doll clothes. She was always there for me when I needed her. Love you mamaw and will miss you.
