FUNERAL: Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Bauman officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201. Lawrence E. "Larry" Wiltsey, 63, of Hope, died at 11:31 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012. Lawrence retired in 2007 after 40 years of service as a journeyman sheet metal worker. He was a member of the International Association of Sheet Metal Workers and Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 20. He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a member of the National Street Rod Association and Watt Pottery Club. Lawrence enjoyed traveling with his wife and grandchildren along with collecting and refinishing antiques. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Born in Waukesha, Wis., April 28, 1949, Mr. Wiltsey was the son of the late Orville Russell Wiltsey and Juanita (Dilk) Lee. He married Barbara S. Ferguson Aug. 4, 1967. Survivors include his wife of 45 years; sons, James (Anne) Wiltsey and Michael Wiltsey, all of Columbus; brothers, Rick (Margie) Wiltsey and Charles Thorne, all of Columbus; and grandchildren, Harley Erin Wiltsey, Lane Alan Wiltsey, Grace Katheryn Wiltsey, Brady Scott Wiltsey and Liam Alexander Wiltsey, all of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wiltsey.

  1. Barbara, I am so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. (I used to watch the kids so you and Larry could have your date night). You were both so young and happy. I could tell you loved each other very much. God Bless all of you during this time.
