Shirley A. Woodard, 70, of North Hickory Lane, died at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Shirley was previously employed at Bar-Cons Credit Union and was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She enjoyed flowers, flea markets and antiquing and loved going to car shows and rides in her 1948 truck. Born in Hamilton, Ohio, Nov. 13, 1941, Shirley was the daughter of Vernon Sheard and Jane Netherton Sheard. She married Joseph E. Woodard Sept. 28, 1963. Survivors include her husband; a son, Matthew Woodard, Indianapolis, IN; her stepmother, Margaret Sheard, Hamilton, OH; stepsisters, Carol (Robert) Vogel, Middletown, OH, and Mary (Robert) Napier, Georgetown, KY; and a stepbrother, Ted (Debbie) Burton, Bellefontaine, OH; She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carole Weber; and a brother, David Sheard. FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. BURIAL: Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
