Michael A. Grider, 49, of Seventh Street, died at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Michael attended Sixth Street General Baptist Church. Born in Columbus, Jan. 8, 1963, Mr. Grider was the son of Paul Grider Jr. and Mary Johns Grider. He is survived by his father, of Marrietta Island, Fla.; a grandmother, Anna Grider of Columbus, with whom he made his home; and brothers, Roger Grider and Tim Grider, both of Davenport, Fla. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Robert Grider. FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Orville Turner officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery.

rip mike i love you and you will be missed
Mikey you are my brother I am blessed to know there is an extra angel in Heaven watching over me. How grand it must be to be sitting at the feet of Jesus. I will never forget you. Rest well in the arms of Jesus. I will not say good by, just will say see you when my time comes, please be there at the doors of heaven I want a hug.
Mike was my best friend whom i loved very much. His death was unexpected, and is a great loss. God has taken his best !
