Judy A. Asher, 71, of Chapa Drive, died at 7:39 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012, after a lengthy battle with Post Polio Syndrome. Mrs. Asher was previously employed by Decatur Mold and Enkyo and retired in 2010 from Walmart. She attended Crossroads Community Church, enjoyed watching NASCAR races, especially Tony Stewart, and spending time with family and friends. Born in Bartholomew County Dec. 10, 1940, Mrs. Asher was the daughter of Carl V. Dobbs and Opal Marie Dobbs Grider. She married Richard L. Asher Sept. 19, 1959. He preceded her in death Aug. 27, 1989. Mrs. Asher is survived by sons, Dan (Sandy) Asher of Columbus and Tim (Julie) Asher of Branson, MO; stepbrothers, Mike Tuttle of Columbus and Richard Tuttle of Henderson, NC; grandchildren, Ryan Harrison, Keith Harrison, Stephanie Harrison, Kayleigh Harrison, Nicholas (Lindsay) Harrison, Boone (Arika Tulloch) Asher, Clay (Barbara Starr) Asher, Sam Asher, Jenna Asher, Jordan Asher and Jayden Asher; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Patty Harrison. Memorial contributions may be made to Purr Spot or the donor's choice of charities.
