Rita E. Messer-Brooks
Rita E. Messer-Brooks, 65, of Kelli Drive, formerly of St. Louis, Mo., died at 9:41 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date in St. Louis. Arrangements were made by Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth L. Messer-Brooks; daughters, Kyndra L. Messer-Brooks of St. Louis and Madalyn L. Messer-Brooks of Chicago; and a sister, Mary (George) Carpenter of Columbus.

Ken and Family I was truly shocked when I saw Rita’s name in the paper. I am very sorry for your loss. I remember Rita, from Steinhurst Manor days, as a very caring and wefnloving person. Again I am very sorry for your loss.

Ken so sorry for your loss. We will keep you in our prayers. We only met Rita on a couple of occasions but she was very pleasant and a nice person to know.
Ken: I am so sorry to hear about Rita. I always said she was a saint to let you be so involved in softball with other people’s kids like you were. What wonderful years those were. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls. Rita was extremely sweet the few times I saw her and I know she will be greatly missed. Take care.
