Wanda Reindl, 94, passed away July 16, 2011 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, July 6, 1917, the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Szott Wowczuk. She married the love of her life Frank J. Reindl Sr. Apri l9, 1944. Wanda and Frank were inseparable and enjoyed their 60 years together. They loved traveling to see their children, seeing the world with their dear friends, playing bridge and fishing. Together they raised five devoted children who grew in love and devotion to their families led by their wonderful example. Her 15 grandchildren all felt her special love and affection and have always been devoted to her. She had a way of making each of them and their spouses feel that they were the favorite. Even into her 90s, she would get down on the floor to play with her 20 great-grandchildren. She was thrilled to welcome seven into the world in her last year of life and her cane brought fun and mischief to them all. She loved gardening at the home where she lived independently until her recent move to Greentree Assisted Living three months ago. She made many friends and was known for her smile. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Wanda was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She is survived by sons, Frank (Sally) Reindl Jr. of Columbus and Richard(Gloria) Reindl of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; daughters, Mary (Keith) McGuire of Rapid City, South Dakota; Rita (Richard) Davis of Laurel, Delaware and Dorothy(Dennis) Huss of Helena, Montana; grandchildren, Ty McGuire and Todd McGuire, Meaghan Argay, Maureen Benjamin, Matt Reindl, Sherry Tompa, Rick Davis, Luke Davis, Jesse Davis, Nicholas Davis, Travis Grotz, Lacey Grotz, Lee Reindl, Renee Reindl and Erin Reindl; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Steffi MacDonald. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on March 12, 2004; brothers, Leo and John Wowczuk; and a sister, Mary Perry. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Churchwith Father Marty Peter officiating. VISITATION: Will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. BURIAL: Will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or the Multiple Myeloma Foundation.
