Connie Lou Everroad, 76,of Waycross Drive, died at 7:47 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 in Columbus. Connie enjoyed bingo, horse races and casinos, fishing, and playing cards with her sister and friends. She retired from Centra Credit Union. Connie was a member of the Eagles and the Moose Lodge. When Connie was younger, she was a champion roller skater and taught dance lessons. Connie was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Clifford, the daughter of Joseph and Effie Jaudon Rouse. Survivors include sons, Kevin Moore of Columbus, and Richard (Sheila) Wetzel of Columbus; stepsons, Mike, Johnnie and Paul Everroad of TN; daughters, Melissa (Lee) Vaughn of Columbus, IN, Melody (Lynn) Lambert of Columbus, IN, and Penny (Jerry) McMillian of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Tara Farmer of Florida; a brother, Jessie Rouse of Texas; a sister, Jane Conrad of Columbus; nephews, David and Ricky Cooper of Columbus; grandchildren, Shelly Smith, Jamie McMillian, Jody Lambert, Brandon Nielson, Whitney Moore, Chase Moore, Jessica Vaughn, Lyndsee Vaughn, William Stoddard; and 14 great-grandchildren. Connie was looking forward to meeting her new great-granddaughter in September. Also surviving are best friends from childhood, Norma Beatty, Dorothy Marner and Janet Johnson; several brothers and sisters-in-law also survive; several cousins, including Junior (Judy) Miller of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Chris Wetzel; a daughter Janet Hill and a brother, Johnnie Rouse.
