Mildred Laurine Kennedy December 31, 1931 - March 27, 2011 Mildred Laurine Kennedy, 79, of Hope died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Milers Merry Manor in Hope. She was born in Shelby County, December 31, 1931, the daughter of Shirley Wayne and Lena Lambert Murphy. She married Russell Bruce Kennedy in 1952. Mildred attended Columbus Baptist Church. She retired from Dolly Madison Bakery after 33 years of service. Mildred enjoyed traveling, playing cards and especially enjoyed her children and her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Russell Bruce Kennedy of Ogilville; daughters, Sheila Nading of Rosstown; Linda Laurine Kennedy of Columbus and Connie Taylor of Westport; grandchildren, Brian Taylor, John Lee Nading, Nicholas Kennedy and Crystal Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Bridgett and Robert Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Russell Frederick Kennedy; brothers, Gordan Dale Murphy, Wayne Shirley Murphy, John Elda Murphy and Ernest Merle Murphy; and sisters, Francis Jacobs and Georgia May Brett. Funeral Information SERVICES: Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hawcreek Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Marcus Speer officiating. There will be no calling hours. Donations Information Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
