Robert G. Caudell July 27, 1929 - March 22, 2011 Robert G. Caudell, 81, of Aspen Lane, died at 10:23 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Caudell attended Purdue University from 1953 to 1958, receiving a BSME in mechanical engineering. He also studied computer science at Ivy Tech. A Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a member of the Indiana National Guard Reserve for 11 years and retired in 2002. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Born in Indianapolis July 27, 1929, Mr. Caudell was the son of Robert Franklin Caudell and Genevieve Vivian Grammer. He married Marie E. Tajito Jan. 16, 1952. She survives. Also surviving are sons, Robert G. (Maria) Caudell Jr. of Columbus and James (Debbie) Caudell of Blanco, TX; daughters, Jeani Filip of Pardeeville, WI, and Christine T. Caudell of Columbus; grandchildren, Lara M. Filip, Lisa M. (Aaron) Fletcher, Joseph (Diana) Caudell, Benjamin Caudell, Ryan (Angela) Caudell, Nicole Sagstetter, Candace Raby and Collin Gaskamp; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Caudell of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Alan and Paul Caudell. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Stephen Vincent officiating. CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. ENTOMBMENT: Garland Brook Cemetery.
