Edna C. Bonnell June 28, 1917 - August 10, 2010 Edna C. Bonnell, 93, of Columbus, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Edna was born in Columbus June 28, 1917, the daughter of Edward Bense and Ida Hoeltke Bense. She was married to Joe Bonnell Sept. 4, 1938. He preceded her in death June 25, 1984. A 1935 graduate of Columbus High School, she was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, was a 4-H leader for 35 years, a member of Home Craft Extension Club for 50 years and an active member of Bartholomew County Pork Producers. She also was a Farm Bureau member and a farm wife. She lived on a farm all her life. Survivors include a son, Larry J. Bonnell of Columbus, and a daughter, Betty J. Corley of Florida. Grandchildren are Steve Vetter and Kurtis Vetter of Florida, Evan (Karean) Corley of Franklin, Roxana (Jeff) Bonnell of Virginia, Briana Bonnell and Liana Bonnell of Columbus. There are four great-grandchildren. A grandson, Brett Bonnell, preceded her in death. Funeral Information Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Bob Bense officiating. calling: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
