Dorothy Jean Lucas October 03, 1940 - July 06, 2010 Dorothy Jean Lucas, 69, of Crothersville, died at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. Survivors include a son, James Dale Lucas of Columbus; daughters, Frances Arie(Jonathon) Roberts of Seymour, Dorothy (Ricky) Ross of Crothersville, Dora Lucas and Lora Gladden, both of Seymour; sisters, Nancy Cobbs of Hayden, Peggy Stuckwisch of Tampico and Virginia Sorrell of North Vernon; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Husband on Feb. 17, 2004 her son George Edward Lucas; a brother Morris Allen Miller; Sister Martha Lou Miller; 1 granddaughter Lilliane Ross and 1 grandson Jimmy Rodgers A special thanks to Mary Imlay a faithful sister in law & friend. Barbara Rogers a good friend who set by her side the last few days. To her daughter Dee for being there every day & night for her parents. They will be sorely missed. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Orville Turner officiating. CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday.
