Ruby F. Bates August 15, 1951 - May 27, 2010 Ruby F. Bates, 58, of National Road, died early afternoon Thursday, May 27, 2010, at her home. Ruby was born Aug. 15, 1951 in Glasgow, Ky., the daughter of Carl and Elsie (Poston) Pelston. She was a member of Sixth Street Church of Columbus. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but most of all spoiling her grandchildren. Ruby is survived by a son, Travis (Stephanie) Jeffares of Columbus; grandchildren, Skylar, Nathan and Alison Jeffares; brothers, Walter (Marie) Pelston of Breeding Ky., Larry (Carolyn) Pelston of Sparksville, Ky., Terry Pelston of Campbellsville, Ky. and Ronnie (Linda) Pelston of Columbia, Ky.; and sisters, Edith Gabehart of Campbellsville, Ky. and Louise (Mitchell) Furkins of Columbia, Ky. She was preceded n death by her parents; brothers, Homer Pelston and Kenneth Pelston; and sisters, Myrtie Wooten and Sylvia Shively. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be at 10:30 am. Tuesday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Kenny Lee, David Jeffares and Orville Turner officiating.
