Joanna Roberts June 21, 1937 - May 09, 2010 Joanna Roberts, 72, of Shields Drive, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Roberts was a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church. Joanna was employed by Cummins Engine Company for 39 years. She was an avid early morning walker, enjoyed traveling, cooking and loved spending time with her grandson. Born in Worthington June 21, 1937, Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of William Wilson Eavey and Nora Myrtle Truitt Eavey. She married George Joseph Roberts Aug. 19, 1956. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rachelle (Kirk) Miller of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a grandson, Wyatt Miller; a brother, Bob (Norma) Eavey of Jasonville; and a sister, Sarah (Jerry) Robertson of Noblesville. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Eavey, and an infant sister. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Thursday at East Columbus United Methodist Church with the Revs. Charles Aigner and Greg Eaton officiating. CALLING: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until service time. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery. Donations Information Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
