Naomi Rose Ferry Haza June 01, 1924 - April 26, 2010 Naomi Rose Ferry Haza, 85, of Spruce Street, died at 8:45 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center. Although she lived in Columbus her whole life, Mrs. Haza loved to travel with her children and in 2005 went to Europe to fulfill a lifelong dream. She was a founding organizer of the annual Mead Village neighborhood July 4 parade. She was a member and volunteer at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and a member of Daughters of Isabella. Born in Columbus June 1, 1924, Mrs. Haza was the daughter of Peter Ferry and Florence Habig Ferry Winn. She married Eugene Edward Haza Sept. 4, 1945. He preceded her in death April 28, 2003. Survivors include sons, Colin (Joni) Haza of Austin, Texas, Kevin (Wanda) Haza of Chandler, Ariz., Kim (Debra) Haza of Columbus, Kelly Haza of Webster, NH, Craig (Jane) Haza of Columbus and Keith (Lisa) Haza of Columbia City; daughters, Karen (Dale) Colliver and Kathleen (Henry) Whipker, both of Columbus; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings, Helen, Mary Lou, Patrick, Georgia Ann and Dorothy. Funeral Information CALLING: 5:00 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A rosary service will be at 7:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
